  This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the Birthday Song with Name Maker app, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. Please read it carefully before using the App.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Morpich Design ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Birthday Song with Name Maker Android application ("App").

By installing or using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

This policy applies to all users of the App regardless of location. Where applicable, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not directly collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
Your location data (GPS or network-based).
Your photos, camera, or microphone data.
Your contacts or call logs.
Any biometric data.

3. Information Collected Automatically

The following data may be collected automatically through third-party SDKs integrated in the App. This data is collected by those third parties — not stored on our own servers.

3.1 Advertising Data (Google AdMob & Meta Audience Network)

Android Advertising ID (AAID) — used to serve and measure advertisements.
Device model, OS version, screen size — used for ad rendering.
App interactions related to ad impressions and clicks.
IP address — used for geographic ad targeting.

3.2 Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)

Screens viewed and features used within the App.
Session duration and frequency of use.
Device type, OS version, and app version.
Country/region (derived from IP address, not precise location).

All Firebase Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We use it only to understand how the App is used and to improve it.

3.3 Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

Stack traces and error logs when the App crashes.
Device model, OS version, and app version at the time of the crash.
A randomly generated installation ID (not linked to your identity).

Crash data is used solely to identify and fix stability issues in the App.

4. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Downloaded wallpaper images — saved to your device gallery or internal storage when you tap Download.
Downloaded birthday song audio files — saved to internal app storage for playback and sharing.
Favorites list — wallpapers you have marked as favorites, stored in a local Room database.
Download history — a record of wallpapers you have downloaded, stored locally.
View history — wallpapers you have recently viewed, stored locally and automatically cleared after 30 days.
App preferences — your language selection, notification settings, and other preferences stored in SharedPreferences.
Daily wallpaper cache — the current day's featured wallpaper URL stored locally to avoid repeated API calls.

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by going to your device Settings > Apps > Birthday Song with Name Maker > Clear Data.

5. How Names Are Used (Birthday Song Feature)

When you type a name in the Birthday Song feature or Name Directory, that name is used only to construct a URL to retrieve the corresponding audio file from Amazon Web Services S3 storage (e.g., https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/1hbcf/[Name].mp3).

The name is not stored on our servers.
The name is not transmitted to us or logged by us.
The name is used only for the duration of the network request to retrieve the audio file.
Amazon Web Services may log the URL request as part of standard server logging. AWS's privacy policy applies: aws.amazon.com/privacy.

6. Permissions Declared and Why

The App declares the following permissions in its AndroidManifest.xml. Each permission is used only for the stated purpose:

INTERNET	Required to load wallpaper images from the API, stream and download birthday song audio files, display advertisements, and send analytics/crash data to Firebase.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Used to check whether the device has an active internet connection before making network requests, preventing unnecessary errors.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE	Used to detect Wi-Fi connectivity. Also required by the Google AdMob SDK.
CHANGE_WIFI_STATE	Required by the Google AdMob advertising SDK for network management operations.
CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE	Required by the Google AdMob advertising SDK.
SET_WALLPAPER	Required to apply a selected wallpaper image to the device home screen or lock screen when you tap "Set Wallpaper".
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android ≤ 12 only)	Required on Android 12 and below to read images from device storage for use in the photo editor and wallpaper setting features.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android ≤ 12 only)	Required on Android 12 and below to save downloaded wallpaper images to the device gallery.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (Android 13+ only)	Required on Android 13 and above to access images from device storage for the photo editor feature. Replaces READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on newer Android versions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+ only)	Required on Android 13 and above to display optional daily wallpaper notifications. The App will request this permission at runtime. You can deny or revoke it at any time.
VIBRATE	Used to provide haptic feedback (vibration) when you tap buttons in the App, improving the user experience.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID	Required by Google AdMob to access the Android Advertising ID for serving and measuring advertisements.
com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE	Required by Firebase Cloud Messaging infrastructure. The App uses WorkManager for scheduled notifications rather than FCM push messages, but this permission is declared as part of the Firebase SDK.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each service operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

8. How We Use Information

Information collected through third-party SDKs is used for the following purposes only:

To display advertisements — AdMob and Meta Audience Network use device identifiers to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.
To improve the App — Firebase Analytics data helps us understand which features are used most and where users encounter problems.
To fix crashes — Crashlytics data helps us identify and resolve App stability issues.

We do not use any collected data for:

Selling to third parties.
Building personal profiles of individual users.
Sending unsolicited marketing communications.
Any purpose other than those stated above.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

With third-party SDKs as described in Section 7, solely for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting purposes.
If required by law — we may disclose information if required to do so by a court order, legal process, or governmental authority.
To protect rights — we may disclose information where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Morpich Design, our users, or others.

10. Data Retention

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Therefore, we do not have a data retention period to define for personal data on our end.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Google's retention policies (typically 2 months for event data, 14 months for user data by default). You can adjust Firebase data retention settings in the Firebase console.
AdMob and Meta data is retained according to their respective policies.
Locally stored data (favorites, history, downloads) remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App. View history is automatically cleared after 30 days.

11. Security

We implement the following technical measures to protect the App and its users:

All network communications use HTTPS (enforced via Android Network Security Config).
Locally stored data is protected by Android's standard application sandboxing — other apps cannot access your App data.
Downloaded files are stored in app-private directories or the device gallery, accessible only to you.
The App uses FileProvider for secure file sharing between apps, preventing unauthorized access to shared files.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted through third-party services.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is rated Everyone (E) on Google Play and is not directed at children under the age of 13 as a primary audience.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require registration, does not ask for age, and does not collect any personally identifiable information directly from users of any age.

Advertising note for parents: The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network. These networks may use the Android Advertising ID to serve interest-based ads. Parents can limit ad personalization by:

Going to device Settings > Google > Ads > Reset Advertising ID or enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
Using Google's Family Link parental controls.

13. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights and controls regarding your data:

13.1 Permissions

You can revoke any permission granted to the App at any time through:
Settings > Apps > Birthday Song with Name Maker > Permissions
Revoking a permission will disable the corresponding feature but will not affect other features.

13.2 Notifications

You can disable all App notifications through:
Settings > Apps > Birthday Song with Name Maker > Notifications

13.3 Local Data

You can delete all locally stored App data (favorites, history, preferences, cached files) through:
Settings > Apps > Birthday Song with Name Maker > Clear Data

13.4 Advertising ID

You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through:
Settings > Google > Ads > Reset Advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization

13.5 Analytics Opt-Out

Firebase Analytics respects the Android Advertising ID opt-out setting. If you opt out of ad personalization on your device, Firebase Analytics will also stop collecting data associated with your advertising ID.

13.6 GDPR Rights (EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data held by third-party services integrated in the App. Please contact those services directly using the links in Section 7, or contact us at [email protected] and we will assist you.

14. International Users

The App is available globally. If you are using the App from outside India, please be aware that data collected by third-party SDKs (Firebase, AdMob, Meta) may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where those companies operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers in accordance with the privacy policies of those third-party services.

15. Links to External Services

The App may load content from external websites (such as thispersondoesnotexist.com in the AI Generator feature) inside a WebView. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external websites you access through the App.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, third-party services, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If we make material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, through an in-app notice).
