Welcome to Video Downloader – Save Video (referred to as the "App"), owned and operated by Morpich Design (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we process when you use our App on the Google Play Store, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. This policy is written to ensure complete transparency, complying with Google Play Console User Data policies, COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA standards.

            No Personal Data Collection Policy: We do not require any account creation, user registration, profile setup, or cloud login. The App does not collect, harvest, transmit, upload, or share any personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location coordinates, search engine logs, or device owner identities. All app functions operate purely locally.
        

1. Declared Android Manifest Permissions & Technical Justifications

The App requests specific device permissions to execute its offline storage cleaning, browser searching, and video downloading features. Below is the list of declared permissions in our AndroidManifest.xml and their respective justifications for Google Play Store safety standards:

`android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE`	Used to verify Wi-Fi signal availability for optimal network throughput during high-speed downloads.
`com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID`	Enables the App to access the Google Advertising ID to support advertising compliance, remote configuration loading, and non-personalized / personalized ad rotation.
`android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS`	Required on Android 13+ to display ongoing download progress bars in the status bar drawer and alert the user when a save action is completed.
`android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` (Up to SDK 32)	Allows the built-in file manager and storage cleaner to scan local storage, detect duplicate image caches, and locate downloaded files on older Android versions.
`android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` (Up to SDK 29)	Used to save downloaded files directly to the public directories of the local filesystem on legacy Android devices.
`android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`	Allows the App to scan your gallery to identify duplicate images and junk screenshots to clean space on Android 13+.
`android.permission.READ_MEDIA_VIDEO`	Allows the built-in media library to scan downloaded clips, play offline videos, and move videos into the secure PIN-locked private vault folder on Android 13+.
`android.permission.READ_MEDIA_AUDIO`	Allows the in-app browser and file manager to index downloaded music tracks and MP3 extracted files for offline playing on Android 13+.
`com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE`	Standard infrastructure permission to receive service notifications and configuration updates.

2. Storage Cleaner & File Scanning Disclosures

The App features a storage optimization utility (Storage Cleaner) that requires file access permissions to scan folders on your device. By running a storage clean scan, the App performs the following local actions:

Scanning: Scans directories to identify duplicate files, duplicate images, screenshot caches, and temporary data.
Local Comparisons: File comparison algorithms run 100% locally on your device hardware. The App never catalogs or uploads filenames, file metadata, or directory listings to any servers.
Manual Control: No files are deleted automatically. The App displays a local summary list, and deletion only occurs when you select items and explicitly click to clean.

3. Private Vault & Secure Lock Encryption

The secure Private Vault allows you to hide files within a local PIN-locked directory. Privacy features include:

PIN Verification: The PIN password configuration is handled locally. Your PIN is securely written to localized SharedPreferences via AppPreference.java.
No Cloud Recovery: We have no access to your PIN lock. If you lose your PIN, we cannot recover it or restore your locked files. Keep a secure record of your passcode.
Encryption: Files in the Private Vault are hidden from other gallery and explorer apps locally to ensure device privacy.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Your downloaded video files, mp3 conversions, and document files are placed directly in your local hardware directories. We have no cloud server database, database backups, or web storage for user files. The files are entirely under your control. When you uninstall the App, files residing inside the App's secure private databases are deleted permanently by the Android OS. Public downloads residing in shared directories are kept, and can be manually cleared by you.

5. Recently Deleted Recovery & Trash Folder

When you delete files using the App's file manager, they are temporarily redirected to a secure local Recycle Bin folder (Trash) to support recently deleted file recovery features. These files remain on local storage and can be restored or wiped permanently at your convenience.

6. In-App Web Browser and Network Connections

The App features a WebView-based browser to allow video discovery. We do not track, index, or record your web browsing queries, bookmarks, or browser history. Web cookies and caching logs are held inside the local browser instance and can be fully purged at any time inside the App settings.

7. Advertising Networks & Remote Configuration (Google AdMob)

To keep the App free of charge, we display mobile ads. We integrate the official Google AdMob SDK. The ad network operates as follows:

Ad Formats Used: Banner, Native Small, Native Card, Interstitial, Rewarded, and App Open ads.
Ad Rotation Configurations: Ad placement IDs are managed dynamically using JSON configurations stored in SharedPreferences (using AppPreference.java) for fallback ad rotation.
Device Identifiers: The AdMob SDK may access device identifiers (Google Advertising ID / AD_ID) to check network compatibility and compliance.
EEA Consent Flow: In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users in the European Economic Area (EEA) are asked for ad preferences. Users can choose to restrict data usage and opt for non-personalized ads, which serves as our default baseline.

8. Legal Disclosures & Privacy Regulations

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): The App does not target children under the age of 13. We do not collect, request, or verify data from anyone under 13. If any parent believes a child has shared information, please write to us, and we will purge the local files immediately.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): We collect zero personal data, sell zero personal information, and profiling is not performed, aligning with CCPA consumer rights.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Complete GDPR consent systems are built-in for EEA users to manage tracking preferences and opt for non-personalized ads.

9. User Rights

You hold the ultimate rights over your device files. At any time, you can purge browser search cache history, clear local preferences, disable ad tracking choices, or delete downloaded files. Because we possess no servers, all data deletions are absolute and immediate.

We reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to ensure compliance with updated user safety rules. We will update the date at the top of this document whenever a change occurs. We recommend checking back periodically.
